About Us

Cainta Plant Nursery started as a fruit tree farm in the early 1960’s by Domingo J. Alfonso and his wife Rosita Reynoso Alfonso. Their son, Totoy R. Alfonso, introduced ornamental plants mainly of palm trees in the early 1980’s.

“Ka Inggo” and his son Totoy also contributed in Philippine upland reforestation through the research and propagation of “Kawayan Tinik” (Bambusa blumeana) noted for its high survivability and recovery rate in denuded uplands.

By the late 1980’s-early 2000, Ka Inggo’s daughter, Veronica Alfonso-Olitin, ventured in utilizing the mature Kawayan Tinik bamboo poles for creative furniture (Cainta Bamboo Furniture later Alfonso Bamboo Inc.).

As of late, there was a noticeable increase in demand for Philippine indigenous trees known to be hardy, beautiful, and most having natural medicinal properties. A collection of native trees is included in the current propagation list.

Hi. I’m from the Dasmariñas Water District and called and talked with Simon 2 week ago. We need to order some trees (maybe 7 feet tall?) for initially a 200 sqm area. As you will be more familiar with the characteristics of each tree, may we request that you advise us on which ones can be planted together in one space? We are interested in a mix of flowering and no -flowering varieties. We also need them to have roots that go straight down rather than fanning out. Here are some of the trees we are interested in:
Banaba; Mulawin; Catmon; Molave; Betis; Bani; Cerbera; Guijo; Almaciga; Dita; Kalantas.

We are only interested in Phil.indigenous trees.!

Hi which do you recommend bamboo plant best for fencing/privacy screen and can grow more than 10 ft. Non invasive, and hindi madali maglagas ng dahon? Pole bamboo, Thai bamboo or Chinese bamboo? May bakod po kasi kami na cyclone wire gusto po namin na matakpan para di kita yung area namin sa loob ng bakuran.. How much po? How much din po if idedeliver sa Gapan? kasya po ba sya sa sedan?

Good day po! May I know po kung merin kayong seedlings ng Catmon or Molave po? Preferrable po is yung sabay sabay na naipunla at magkaka singlaki na po ngayon.
