Toog – Combretodendron spectabilis

Family: Lecythidaceae

Description: A large tree reaching 40m in height and a diameter of 150cm. Bark is dark brown and flaky. Leaves are simple, obovate, 10-16cm L x 5-7.5cm broad.

Distribution: Widely distributed in Mindanao

Habitat: Low and middle elevations.

Economic Importance: wood is used for light contruction, veneer, and plywood.

Ecological status: Depleted due to logging and kaingin-making.

Could you send me availability and pricing (any other limitations) of Toog seedling? I was amazed when I first saw this tree when I climbed Mt. Mantalingajan in Palawan.

I would also be interested if you have or can grow Bagras seedlings.
Also Mangkono or other indigenous hardwoods.
